International Society Better Health Access (ISBHA) is a nonprofit organization, founded in 2004, that creates a sustainable difference for people lacking access to food, health, and educational resources in East Africa and beyond.

Our mission is to create a sustainable difference for those who lack access to health and educational resources in the north-eastern region of Africa and beyond.

Programs

Health Programs

Left with nothing at hand, most Tigrayans in Sudan are prone to many diseases. ISBHA is trying to support them with the least possible protection techniques to keep their hygiene and stay healthy.

Food Security Programs

Enabling people to produce their own living is one of our main projects. Food security is one of Tigray’s long time crisis. We are trying to approach this problem at household level starting with the most insecure refugees in Sudan.

Educational Programs

Starting from the basic elementary education, we aim to develop as kids grow. Our pilot program at Hasheba Elementary School has taught us a lot and we look forward to expand to reach more beneficiaries.

Women & Children Programs

Women and childrend are the most vulnerable part of society. Solving a woman problem is solving a family problem. With tailored small-scale programs, we’re trying to empower Tigrayan women who survived the horrific genocide in Tigray.

Energy Efficiency

ISBHA identified a great gap in the availability of cooking energy.  We are currently working on pilot projects preparing energy efficient “megogo” and cooking centers that can run electric pans using solar energy.

Ongoing Campaigns

There is no small contribution. Every cent counts when it comes to the needy. Donate today and save lives.

Life Saving Support to Refugees in Sudan

The team on the ground elected by community leaders has been providing daily assessments, meal distribution and mobile medical services. we are streamlining our efforts with like-minded organizations to support and maintain the outreach during this critical moment. We're actively monitoring activities and plans with the larger humanitarian organizations in order to align and maximize services. Help us support our displaced refugees in Sudan.

Support

Running School at Hasheba

The only elementary school in Hasheba is providing education to 600 Tigrayan refugees, thanks to the hard work and dedication of Tigrayan teachers who are volunteering their time. But we need your help to continue bringing hope, normalcy, and the much-needed education that these children deserve. By supporting our fundraising efforts, you enable us provide the least required resources to keep running the school and ensure these children have access to education.

Support

Supporting Refugees Living with HIV

We have been working on multiple projects at a refugee camps in Sudan. One of our projects is the work we are doing with the HIV support group (210-225 members). We are raising funds to start a self sustaining business for them at the camp. It is only $125 per family. Please join us in reaching this goal. It’s all tax deductible.

Support

Empowering Women

Women are backbone of the family. In addition to their huge responsibilities for the family, they are highly vulnerable to all kinds of problems. By maintaining essential activities such as nutrition programs, healthcare initiatives, and micro-financing opportunities, we empower women to self-sufficiency and long-term success.
